Mystical Es Vedra

You might have heard about a magic island opposite the coast of Ibiza, that rises up from the deep waters to about 380 meters in height at only 2.5 km from the coast… That’s the famous island of Es vedra! One of the must visit spots on your visit to Ibiza, the group of Islands of Es vedra and Es vedranell together with others are part of a marine reserve, both these islands contain various plant species and rich sea beds being quite a common sight to see predators jump out of the water like Tuna and with a bit of luck some dolphins! Just a few meters away from its rugged cliffs, waters are very deep making it a great place for a quick swim in deep blue sea water.

Tucked away beneath the pines on Ibiza’s rugged southwest coast, Cala Llentrisca is one of the island’s most secret coves — a quiet and unspoilt gem that feels a world away from the busy beaches. Accessed by a short scenic walk from Es Cubells village, this pebble-fringed bay is framed by dramatic cliffs and dotted with old fisherman’s huts — echoes of Ibiza’s maritime past that make every visit feel like a step back in time.

The turquoise waters here are crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling or a peaceful swim, while the surrounding pine-shaded slopes offer tranquil spots to relax, picnic, or simply soak up the Mediterranean sun. With no services or crowds, Cala Llentrisca is ideal for adventurers and nature lovers seeking authentic Ibiza serenity.

14.00 We reach our second stop, Sa Pedrera (Atlantis): A magnificent area of rugged coastline with little bays to explore and salt water pools. This magical location is full of legends!

Approaching Atlantis, also known as Sa Pedrera, by sea is without doubt the most spectacular and exclusive way to experience one of Ibiza’s most legendary places. Hidden beneath towering cliffs on the island’s southwest coast, this former stone quarry reveals itself slowly from the water — a dramatic landscape carved by hand and shaped by the elements.

From the boat, the scenery feels almost unreal: monumental rock terraces descending into the sea, sculpted platforms cut directly into the limestone, and natural pools filled with crystal-clear turquoise water. Unlike arriving on foot, access by sea allows you to admire Atlantis from its most cinematic angle, with uninterrupted views of the cliffs and the deep blue Mediterranean surrounding you.

Anchoring nearby, guests can swim directly into this mythical setting, snorkel along the rock formations, or simply relax on board while taking in one of Ibiza’s most powerful coastal panoramas. The silence, broken only by the sea, gives Atlantis an almost spiritual atmosphere — raw, wild, and completely untouched by mass tourism.

Visiting Atlantis by boat is not just about reaching a destination; it’s about the journey itself. The contrast between the open sea and this hidden stone sanctuary makes it a truly unforgettable stop, reserved for those who explore Ibiza beyond its beaches.

15.30 Here we are, the popular islands of Es vedra and Es vedranell! I’m sure you understand what all the fuss is about now, don't think about it and jump in these deep waters!

Es Vedra

Standing at almost 400 metres’ high, just off the south-west coast of Ibiza, is the magical and legendary rock of Es Vedrà. Many visitors go to marvel at this beguiling landmark when they come here. It’s not difficult to see why.

When you get your first proper glimpse of this big imposing rock, you will feel awe and wonder as well as the magical feeling of your heart being set alight with joy. It truly lifts your spirits.

It has definitely become one of the must-see sights when coming to Ibiza and it really does take your breath away. You’ll notice how it rises majestically from the sea, almost transmitting a feeling of peace and, dare we say, serenity. It’s no surprise that people go there to practise meditation.
